Ensure Your Computer Privacy with Privacy Eraser

May 15, 2014 - Cybertron Software has released Privacy Eraser Free v2.5, a powerful security application that makes it simple for Windows users to remove Internet history information from their computers. Once Privacy Eraser has eliminated the tracks of all of a user's past computer activities, it becomes nearly impossible for identity thieves to violate the user's privacy and capture sensitive information from their computer.

With a single click, Privacy Eraser can erase all of a computer's past web browser history and Windows history, including cookies, the list of URLs that have been visited, Internet cache, address bar history, autocomplete history, saved passwords, search history, open and saved files history, the recent documents list, temporary files, recycle bin, clipboard, DNS cache, log files, and more. The software supports all of today's popular browsers including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Opera.

In addition to supporting Windows and popular browsers, Privacy Eraser uses a unique system of plug-ins to allow the software to erase the tracks left by any application that you use. The software includes more than 200 plug-ins that support such programs as Adobe Reader, Microsoft Office, WinZip, WinRAR, Windows Media Player, VLC Player, BitTorrent, and Google Toolbar. New plug-ins are being added each month. The software's open plug-in architecture makes it possible for advanced users to create additional plug-ins for the software that they use in their business or home.

In addition to marking files for deletion, Privacy Eraser zero-fills all of these files, making it nearly impossible for the bad guys to see the information that has been erased. The commercial version of the software, which is available for $19.95(US) for a one-year license or $59.95 for a lifetime license, supports the US Department of Defense (DoD) standard of making three separate passes at overwriting these files (the US DoD 5220.22-M standard), seven passes (the US DoD 5220.22-M (ECE)), and 35 passes. The commercial version also includes a file shredder that permanently erases specified files and folders so that they can never be recovered.

The application's Drive Wiper identifies all unused clusters on your drives and wipes them clean. The Cookies Manager lets a user identify which cookies to keep and which should be deleted during the cleaning process. The Windows Startup Manager makes it easy to manage which programs will be automatically loaded when Windows starts. The App Uninstaller is simpler to use and more powerful than the uninstaller that comes with Windows. There is even a built-in scheduler that will run the cleanup processing daily, weekly, or on the schedule that suits the user's needs.

Whether a business person who needs to keep Internet research secret from colleagues and competitors, a teacher who wants to erase students' Internet travels from shared computers, or a home user who wants to maintain privacy and security, an all-in-one privacy suite, Privacy Eraser Free has the tools that they need.
