You can override the default options and set other options that are specific to individual encrypted volume on the Create/Mount Volume dialog box.
Mount as Hard Disk/Removable Disk
Mount specified encrypted volume as Hard Disk or Removable Disk. Hard Disk: Windows system caching is in effect, then the data is written to the system cache but is flushed to disk with delay. The advantage: Reading and writing of data is done faster, suffer no slowdown when working. Removable Disk: Windows system caching is not in effect, then the data is immediately flushed to disk without going through the Windows system cache.
Mount as Read-Only
Mount specified encrypted volume as read-only mode. You cannot create/rename/move/delete/modify files & folders stored on the mounted virtual disk.
Mount & Format
When you mount an encrypted volume as a virtual disk for the first time it will be formatted to one of the supported file systems. It is necessary to format the virtual disk if you are using it for the first time.
Open Explorer window for mounted volume
If this option is enabled, Privacy Drive will automatically open Windows Explorer and locate to the virtual disk after you mounted an encrypted volume. This allows you to quick access to the contents of the virtual disk.
